Once upon a time there was a kingdom far, far away. The kingdom had babes, beaches and killer surf spots and only the richest of noblemen would come here once or twice a year to play. This elite upmarket kingdom known far and wide as “the Jewel of the Garden Route” is where our story begins…
Today as the sun rose over the ocean in this long lost kingdom, a few like minded geeks got together at the Wimpy for the first ever #plettgeekbreakfast. Yes Plettenberg Bay is now officially geek/hermit friendly
It wasn’t a huge breakfast, only 4 geeks this time round and sadly there were no babes, but it’s the start of good things to come and we look forward to growing this event into one of the prime geekbreakfast locations on earth. So when next you come to our kingdom, to soak up the sun or just enjoy the view be sure to attend a plettgeekbreakfast.
A huge shoutout goes to the first 4 geeks (Samuel Sampi Kamffer, Rob Schmuecker, Eldad Viljoen, and your hostSimonB) who helped make this first event a success. The morning was spent getting to know each other, chatting about how similar our website names are - GoPlett and SoPlett and then teasing the host about the name of his first mobile application in the Nokia Ovi Store. Yes sadly calling your product MrSnake and then later finding out that theall the top search terms for that name point to porn is rather funny and sad, oops hehe the joke is on me
All in all it was great fun and even though the event ended when someone pranged Samuels car in the parking lot and all the geeks running out to see how bad the damage was, I think it ws a huge success and I look forward to the next get together. This first plettgeekbreakfast may have been small but this is only the start and the next event will be bigger and better.
We look forward to seeing you at the next plettgeekbreakfast!
Ps. If you missed the Plett event and are in the Garden Route next week check out the George Geek Breakfast.
